For the aghd and Nowruz

Jewelry for the aghd, the Persian wedding. A ring for the baleh boroon. A gift for Nowruz, the new year. We draw each piece by hand with your family, and make it only once.

The aghd set

At the aghd, the bride gets a set: a necklace, earrings, a bracelet, and sometimes a ring. She gets it when the marriage contract is signed. Many couples choose the set when they choose their rings.

We draw the set with you, around the stones you like. Maryam designs every piece in CAD herself and checks every step.

The Embrace ring. Gold bands around a tanzanite.

II

Baleh boroon

When the families agree to the marriage, the custom is to give a ring. It can be the first piece of a set. You can add more pieces for the wedding.

A pendant design. An emerald inside a circle of diamonds.

III

The sofreh

The sofreh holds a mirror, two candle holders and a bowl of coins. We can make smaller pieces in the same gold, for the family to give as gifts.

IV

Nowruz

Some families put a new coin on the haft-sin table, as a blessing. We can make a coin in gold, or a spring flower. It is the first gift of the new year.

From her art to the jewelry

In her studio, she wrapped wire around a stone. That shape became the gold hexagon that holds the emerald.
