OXUS Engagement and wedding

One ring, start to finish.

We follow one pear diamond ring, from the first 3D model to the finished ring on the hand. This is how OXUS makes a ring.

Nothing here comes from a catalog. We draw each ring for one person, and then we make it.

I

The model

First, a 3D model.

Maryam designs every piece herself on the computer, in CAD. Here, in MatrixGold, she builds the part that will hold the pear diamond, prong by prong. Below it is a band, planned stone by stone.

She also makes the technical drawings, the stone details and the gem map. The gem map shows where each stone goes. No metal is made until the model is right.

II

The metal

The metal parts, before the stones.

Expert partners in the Los Angeles Jewelry District make the metal parts from her model. Here you see the setting for the pear diamond, a round setting with a star shape, and an eternity band. The prongs are still open.

Maryam checks each part when it comes back, before any stone is added.

Three parts in white metal on a pale cloth, with no stones yet: a pear-shaped setting with crossed prongs, a round setting with an eight-pointed star, and an eternity band with open prongs.

III

The stone

The pear diamond.

This is the main diamond of the ring, on paper, before it is set. Maryam drew the setting in her model to fit this exact stone.

IV

The setting

Stone by stone, all the way around.

Emerald-cut diamonds go into the bands one at a time. Each stone has its own prongs. The stones go all the way around the finger. The setting for the pear diamond is still empty.

Expert setters in the Jewelry District set the stones. Maryam directs the work. She checks every step against her drawings.

Two eternity bands set all around with emerald-cut diamonds, lying on a pale cloth, the empty pear-shaped setting next to the lower band.

The ring

The finished ring.

The designer

A sculptor, and an engineer.

Maryam Najvan is an artist. Her work was shown in Duets, at Gallery 825, in 2025. The River is her series of sculptures you can wear. Each one is signed and one of a kind. She studied graphic design in Isfahan and industrial design in Tehran.

So at OXUS, one person draws your ring and plans every detail. You work with her directly, from the first sketch to the last check.
